LA MAIN JAUNE
PARIS I FRANCE 2026
Ongoing construction, opening in 2026
La Main Jaune, the legendary nightclub and iconic roller-skate temple, shaped Parisian days and nights for more than twenty years, until its closure in the early 2000s. Originally an underground parking garage transformed into a Roller Disco in 1979, the venue was first designed by a young Philippe Starck.
In 2017, the City of Paris decided to breathe new life into this mythical site—deeply connected to urban cultures—through the Réinventer Paris call for innovative projects.
In the spirit of major urban revitalizations such as Oxygen La Défense or the Giza Observatory in Egypt, Studio Malka was commissioned for its expertise in rehabilitation, spatial design, and artistic direction.
Ahead of its forthcoming festive reopening, set to revive this unique fragment of French cultural heritage, La Main Jaune hosted the Courrèges aftershow during the Autumn/Winter 2024 Paris Fashion Week.
